W.C 15th June 2020 Class 1

Good Morning Class One,

I hope you are all keeping well and had a super week of learning mixed with some fun activities. We had a busy week in Class One and despite the weather trying to keep us inside we managed to do lots of fun outdoor activities, including P.E, and learnt lots about Pirates.

It was a busy weekend in the Jones/ O-S household. We went to Croome on Friday and loved seeing all the beautiful flowers and a Heron! We have had lots of long walks in our local area and enjoyed the sunshine.

I am looking forward to welcoming some of you back this week and others next week. For those of you who are still Learning from home it is lovely when you share your pictures with me so please do keep sending those in! This week is another packed week of stories and number work for you to do, we are looking forward to reading Princess Mirror Belle in class and then using the tens frames to help with our doubles and halving.

Please keep your eyes peeled this week for a very special email on Friday.

Value

Truthfulness

“To be truthful with others, you must first be truthful with yourself”
Anon

Thought of the Day

‘I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God’.  In a court of law a witness swears an oath on the Bible or another sacred text, but sometimes in everyday life people find it more difficult to be truthful.

Talk together about occasions when complete honesty could cause trouble or be hurtful. For example:
• When a member of your family asks you if you like their new shoes
• When telling the truth will get your friend into trouble
• When someone asks what you are thinking but the answer would hurt their feelings
