Thursday 7.1.2021 Afternoon Work

This afternoon is slightly different as we have a couple of things to do.

We have some more science to do, as yesterday, we (at school) made the most of the cold frosty start to go and look at the tree we are basing our seasonal change study around. You need to create a page for our seasonal change booklet. You might need to go and have an explore outside as you need to think about the weather, the temperature, how you feel and what you can see.

The other activity is to research our new History topic for this term. We are going to be looking at the Titanic. I would like you to go onto the internet, with help from a grown-up, and look for images of the Titanic. I would also like you to find an interesting fact for me.

Value

Friendship

A good friend is worth their weight in gold.”
Anon
That’s a lot of gold! Why do you think that this is such a popular proverb?

Thought of the Day

Learning to be a good friend, someone who can be trusted and is loyal, takes a lifetime.  Talk together about how friends come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are young, some are old.  Some are always there, some we see only occasionally.
• How do we choose our friends?
• What makes a good friend?
• Are we a good friend to others?
