Blockley Church of England Primary School is an Academy (Blockley Educational Academy).  We are a co-educational day school for children aged 4-11 years and accept pupils from reception to Year 6.

Blockley is a rural school, serving the village and surrounding area, which has a warm, friendly and welcoming family atmosphere.   As a Church of England School we enjoy close links with the local church and our ethos is firmly rooted in Christian values.  We value other positive and effective links with the community.  The school enjoys close partnerships with staff, parents/carers and governors.

We strive for early acquisition of basic skills so children can access the rich curriculum on offer.  Active learning, through real experiences, residential visits, visitors, enrichment and themed weeks allow for more in-depth studies and encourage a love of learning.

Please take time to look through out website under the ‘About’ and ‘School Life’ tabs to find information about the school facilities and staff; classes, school dinners and the school day; the curriculum and our school results.  Details about our Before and After School Care facility are available, along with uniform requirements and school clubs on offer.

If you are interested in joining our school community please do not hesitate to get in touch via the school office.  We will be more than happy to answer and questions and queries you may have and we welcome visits to the school.  The school can be viewed during the school day to enable you to witness school life and the Head Teacher will be delighted to speak with you.

Children can start school, if their parents wish, in the September of the school year in which they become 5.  If you wish your child to be considered for a reception school place at the beginning of September then please apply through Gloucestershire County Council, School Admissions.

We also accept pupils as in-year admission in any year group according to availability and our admission criteria as outlined in the school admission policy.  In-year admissions are dealt with directly by the school.  In the first instance please contact the school directly to establish if a school place is available.  The Gloucestershire in-year admission form can be completed and returned to the school for processing.  Please follow the link for more details >
