Harold’s Daily Diary

CORAM Life Education SCARF

from Coram Life Education…

Harold’s Daily Diary and resources

Harold – the happy, healthy giraffe mascot and a favourite with children – will be posting a daily blog. Each day he’ll be giving children positive, fun messages about what he’s doing to stay happy and healthy while he’s off school, separated from his friends. He’ll invite the children to join in activities which will be family-friendly, varied and tailored to all ages, follow his Daily Plan and download and fill in their own version.

Coram Life Education are doing this because they know that having a routine and structure are key to providing children with security at this challenging time. Topics will include:

·         Taking regular exercise

·         Being creative

·         Helping others

·         Connecting with others – in ways that are safe

·         Mindfulness – learning to enjoy the moment, here and now.

Value

Justice

Justice means more than making things ‘fair’.  In order for people to live together well in a just community, it is important to have rules or laws that everybody sticks to. Imagine if there were no rules for people driving cars on the road!
As a family you may want to talk about:
• why it is important to have rules and laws
• rules or laws that you don’t think are just (or fair)
• family rules that you think are important

Thought of the Day

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Martin Luther King Jr
