FRIDAY English WB 27/04/2020

Bravo, Lima, Oscar, Charlie, Kilo, Lima, Echo, Yankee…. Has Mrs Etheridge lost the plot? Or can you work out the secret word?!?! Have you been thinking about your handwriting each day as you complete your English learning? I want you to think about making the presentation of each piece of learning the best that it can be. This week we are using the phonetic alphabet to improve our handwriting… Complete the sheet in the back of your English books, if you want to recreate handwriting paper, ask an adult to draw a faint pencil line down the centre of each line in your book. As an extra challenge can you write secret codes words in your daily dairy using the phonetic alphabet? Sierra, Tango, Alpha, Yankee, Sierra, Alpha, Foxtrot, Echo… Mrs Etheridge.

Thought of the Day

This term we are thinking about the importance of treating others with respect even if we sometimes do not agree with the way they behave or the things they say. We have also been thinking about how we should treat the things that belong to us and to other people respectfully.
• Think of some practical ways that you show respect to each other in your family.
• Often we show respect to someone by the way we speak to them.  What does this mean in practice?
• Do you treat one another’s possessions with respect? What does this mean in practice?
