Class 4 Archive

Good Morning Class 4,

Today, you have Mathematics, English and some P.S.H.E. work.

Don’t forget that you can continue to practice your times tables on Times Tables Rock Stars and continue with your reading on Bug Club.

Please remember to email your finished writing task using the Class 4 email address.

Have a great weekend and big clap on the back for getting through your first week of lockdown 3.0!

Mrs White, Miss Stewart and Mrs Spruce.

ENGLISH 8.1.21

Today, you are going to produce the final copy of your writing task. By now, you should have completed and edited your work so it should be ready to be written up neatly and sent to us via the Class 4 email address- class4@blockleyschool.gloucs.sch.uk.

Please may we request that your final pieces are handwritten and NOT typed. You can then take a picture of your work and send this in an email. As always, if you encounter any problems then please email or get in touch via teams.

We look forward to reading them!

English 7.1.21

Today, Mrs. White and I would like you to complete your English task (if you haven’t done so already) and then you will be proof-reading and marking it.

Firstly, please make sure you have completely finished your writing task.

Now, I would like you to get a purple pen or just using an alternative coloured pen to the one you wrote with, please proof- read and edit your work.

  • Have you written at least two paragraphs and do they link? Does every sentence make sense?
  • Can you include any more adjectives to extend your noun phrases?
  • Have you included prepositions?
  • Do you have at least one fronted adverbial?
  • Have your spellings been checked? If so, have you made the necessary corrections if needed?

Please ensure you have thoroughly checked your work so you are able to write up the final copy tomorrow.

Please feel free to email us if you are stuck in any way.

Value

Friendship

A good friend is worth their weight in gold.”
Anon
That’s a lot of gold! Why do you think that this is such a popular proverb?

Thought of the Day

Learning to be a good friend, someone who can be trusted and is loyal, takes a lifetime.  Talk together about how friends come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are young, some are old.  Some are always there, some we see only occasionally.
• How do we choose our friends?
• What makes a good friend?
• Are we a good friend to others?
