Football Pitch Writing Task WB 20-04-20

Look carefully at the picture.  Use the questions to help you think about what the picture is showing.  Use your thinking to complete the written task.  

Whilst at home, you can practise your handwriting. Handwriting is an important part of producing effective pieces of writing, that are not only enjoyable for you to write but also enjoyable for the reader too. Please start by reading the “How to improve your handwriting activity.” There are lots of joins for you to practise and I have drawn them using my own handwriting to make it as visual as possible for you. At the bottom are some sentences to practise in the back of your English book. We will repeat these sentences in 6 weeks and see how much your handwriting has improved. The second activity is quite fun, can you say a tongue twister without getting your tongue all twisted? I bet you can give these a good go; after you’ve said them try and write them in the back of your English book, remember to practise that beautiful joined handwriting. Thought of the Day

This term we are thinking about the importance of treating others with respect even if we sometimes do not agree with the way they behave or the things they say. We have also been thinking about how we should treat the things that belong to us and to other people respectfully.
• Think of some practical ways that you show respect to each other in your family.
• Often we show respect to someone by the way we speak to them.  What does this mean in practice?
• Do you treat one another’s possessions with respect? What does this mean in practice?
