Parents / Carers,

Once your child has completed their writing in their book, we ask that you either take a photograph of it or scan it and email it to us at class3@blockleyschool.gloucs.sch.uk.  We will then mark your child’s work and return it to you.  Thank you.

Football Pitch Writing Task WB 20-04-20

Look carefully at the picture.  Use the questions to help you think about what the picture is showing.  Use your thinking to complete the written task.

Whilst at home, you can practise your handwriting. Handwriting is an important part of producing effective pieces of writing, that are not only enjoyable for you to write but also enjoyable for the reader too. Please start by reading the “How to improve your handwriting activity.” There are lots of joins for you to practise and I have drawn them using my own handwriting to make it as visual as possible for you. At the bottom are some sentences to practise in the back of your English book. We will repeat these sentences in 6 weeks and see how much your handwriting has improved. The second activity is quite fun, can you say a tongue twister without getting your tongue all twisted? I bet you can give these a good go; after you’ve said them try and write them in the back of your English book, remember to practise that beautiful joined handwriting. If you have any questions please email the class email. Keep smiling, Mrs. Etheridge.

Value

Generosity

When we think about generosity we usually think about being generous with money or possessions. However, we can also be generous with our time, our gifts and our abilities.

Thought of the Day

Generous people often say that they receive much more than they give. Perhaps this is because when someone is generous to us, it makes us want to be generous in return. The opposite of being generous is being selfish. What kind of person would you prefer to have as a friend?
