Please find your Reading Comprehension for the week below. Year One I expect you to attempt to read it the first time on your own with only the minimal amount of support.  Make sure you read through the text twice before you attempt to answer any questions. 

Reception children you are more than welcome to have a go at reading the text with an adult and then try to answer the questions. If you find it easier you can verbally give your response to each question instead of writing the answer.

When we think about generosity we usually think about being generous with money or possessions. However, we can also be generous with our time, our gifts and our abilities.

Generous people often say that they receive much more than they give. Perhaps this is because when someone is generous to us, it makes us want to be generous in return. The opposite of being generous is being selfish. What kind of person would you prefer to have as a friend?
