Reception Handwriting Poster 8.1.21

Below you will find your English work for today. You will be writing a recount about your Christmas Holidays. Yr1 I want to see a variety of sentences, remember as lovely as it is that you love your mum that is not a relevant sentence to include in your recount as it does not tell me what you have done! Once you have completed it please send a picture of your work to the class 1 email to earn 1 dojo.

English Wednesday 6th January

Below you will find your first Phonics lesson for the day. I have messaged your parents on Class Dojo to inform them which group you are now in and you will need to follow that adults work for the rest of the term. For all completed work which I see you will earn 1 dojo.

Parents

For those of you who are unsure about Phonics or want to help your child but are worried about how to pronounce some of the Phonemes (sounds) please look at the introduction lessons on the youtube link I have attached at the start of each groups phonics lesson. The videos are really helpful and will also help you with any terminology, similarly if you are unsure about something please feel free to ask me, no matter how silly you think the question may be chances are I have been asked it before.

If you have any queries or questions about this please do not hesitate to email me on the Class One email address.

Abby Phonics Group Schedule

Hello,

I hope you had a super half term break and are ready for the last term of this year. For Phonics this term you are more than welcome to watch the Phonics Videos online again if you need to recap a sound. I would like you to slowly work your way through the booklet below, there are a lot of pages so I do not advise you print them all in one go. Please work through 2-3 a day at the most, this is more beneficial than doing lots of pages in one session and not really understanding the rules. Any queries please use the Class One email and I will respond as soon as I am able to.

Value

Perseverance

Very little that is really worthwhile in life can be achieved without perseverance. An athlete may train for years before they are ready to compete at the highest level. A musician must practice every day, sometimes for hours at a time, if they are to really master their instrument.
