Hello everyone!

If you look at the graphic below you will see what a quite fantastic achievement you guys have managed. From our very own Blockley postcode we have managed to travel a whopping 353km!!!!

That takes us over the channel to France, across the Irish Sea to Dublin and all the down to Land’s End (Cornwall).

I am so proud of everyone who took part in this, just goes to show what you can achieve!

I will contact the individual winners of distance very soon!

Well done everybody, hopefully that will put us all in a great mood ready for the start of term.

Mr Jones

Good morning,

It is now Wednesday and after a wet and blustery Tuesdays the sky is looking much clearer this morning. As I say in the video, there is no such thing as bad weather just bad preparation. Grab a coat, hat, wellies and whatever you need to enjoy a walk, run, jog or cycle.

Thank you so much to everyone who has emailed me your distance, I look forward to receiving some more today!

pe@blockleyschool.gloucs.sch.uk is my email.

Have a great day everyone and embrace new challenges!

Mr Jones

Hello everybody!

I really hope you are safe and well. It is about a week to go before we return to school and I feel we need to get ourselves physically and mentally ready to go! So I am proposing a challenge across the school. Safely go for a walk, jog, run or cycle with your parents and record your distance. Once you have finished email me your name and distance and I will add it to the running total. I will also keep a tally of each individual performance and will announce the individual winner too.

Can we as a school reach London, Newcastle, Glasgow or even further! Exercising is a great way of keeping physically and mentally fit. Watch my video here

Hello Class 2!

I am writing this leading into the last week of term. The year has flown by and we are unfortunate that we have spent lots of the year apart. It has left a sad feeling inside me that I haven’t had as much time with you as I would have liked.

At school, we have been watering the seeds we planted. There are still no sign of activity but hopefully, over the weekend, we will have some change.

The children became authors this week by writing their own Jon Klassen inspired stories and we have been persevering with our halves and quarters.

I have recieved more emails this week and have heard about some rescued Guinea Pigs! The pictures that were attached were super cute!

Well done for all your hard work over the last 4 months, I am very proud of every single one of you! If you need any help in this last week make sure you email me, I will continue to try and get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay safe and stay well,

Mr Parsons

RESPECT

“Respect – to get it you must give it”  Anon

Thought of the Day

This term we are thinking about the importance of treating others with respect even if we sometimes do not agree with the way they behave or the things they say. We have also been thinking about how we should treat the things that belong to us and to other people respectfully.
• Think of some practical ways that you show respect to each other in your family.
• Often we show respect to someone by the way we speak to them.  What does this mean in practice?
• Do you treat one another’s possessions with respect? What does this mean in practice?
