1st June Class One Welcome Back

Hello Class One,

I hope you had a lovely half term break and are now refreshed and ready for the term ahead. I hope some of you were able to watch the Rocket being launched at the weekend, I never realised I could become so excited by watching Astronauts fly into Space live!

We will be very busy in school this week getting used to our new routine, it will be lovely to see some of the class and hear their tales. For those of you who are continuing to learn from Home we have a new weekly routine for you too, although I won’t be marking your work and responding as quickly as usual it would still be lovely to see what you are getting up to at home so keep sending pictures in.

During June the children in Class One are going to be taking part in the 30 Days Wild challenge. Each day a different outdoor related challenge is set. For those of you at home this will be an optional activity, if you do take part we would love to see photos of the different challenges you do.  I have included some of the activity sheets below.

Value

Justice

Justice means more than making things ‘fair’.  In order for people to live together well in a just community, it is important to have rules or laws that everybody sticks to. Imagine if there were no rules for people driving cars on the road!
As a family you may want to talk about:
• why it is important to have rules and laws
• rules or laws that you don’t think are just (or fair)
• family rules that you think are important

Thought of the Day

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Martin Luther King Jr
